Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Tutlee, operated by Tutlee OÜ, a company registered in Tallinn, Estonia. By creating an account or using Tutlee, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older to create a Tutlee account. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

Tutlee is built for students. Accounts are verified using a university email address or, where a domain can't be automatically verified, through manual review of supporting documentation.

2. Your account

• You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
• Notify us immediately at support@tutlee.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Tutlee for any unlawful purpose or in violation of our Community Guidelines
• Misrepresent your identity, academic status, or qualifications
• Attempt to bypass tutor verification (KYT) requirements
• Complete assessments on another person's behalf, or facilitate others doing so
• Attempt to move a paid booking off-platform to avoid Tutlee's fees or protections
• Interfere with or disrupt the platform's operation or security

4. Tutoring sessions & Study Rings

Learners book sessions with tutors verified through Tutlee's KYT process. Study Rings are open, peer-led group sessions and are not a substitute for formal tutoring. Tutlee is a platform connecting learners and tutors — sessions are conducted between users, and Tutlee is not itself providing educational instruction.

5. Payments & subscriptions

Learners pay for individual sessions and optional subscription tiers (Learner Pro, Tutor Pro). Tutors earn from completed sessions, subject to Tutlee's commission structure, detailed on our Pricing page. See our Refund Policy for cancellation and refund terms.

6. Content & intellectual property

You retain ownership of content you create or share on Tutlee (messages, whiteboard content, uploaded documents). By using Tutlee, you grant us a limited license to store and process that content as needed to provide the service — for example, generating post-session assessments.

The Tutlee name, logo, and platform design are the property of Tutlee OÜ and may not be used without permission.

7. Termination

You may close your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines, including for academic fraud, harassment, or safety concerns.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

Tutlee is provided "as is." We do our best to verify tutors and maintain a safe platform, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service or specific learning outcomes. To the extent permitted by law, Tutlee OÜ is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Estonia. Any disputes will be handled in accordance with Estonian law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date above, and where appropriate, we'll notify you directly.
